What is your service area? We normally operate in the Northwest Suburbs of the greater Chicago land area, we have transported our clients to and from several other states as far away as Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, Alabama, Tennessee and Iowa. Each long distance transport is on case by case bases.
Will Medicare pay for wheelchair transports? Medicare is not currently paying for any type of wheelchair transport.
Will Medicaid pay for wheelchair transports? Medicaid MUST have prior approval for any wheelchair transport. To obtain prior approval you can call 866-503-9040 or fax 312--327-3855.
How can I schedule an Ambulance transport? Contact us via phone anytime 24 hours a day 7 days a week, our dispatch will assist you in anyway to ensure you receive the proper level of care needed.
How can I schedule a Medicar Transport? Rescue Eight currently provides medicar service to our contracted facilities. Due to the high volume of transports we may not accept patient transports from home residences at this time. You may call us Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm 2-3 days in advance of your appointment and if we can accommodate you into our schedule we would be glad to help.
